Palmgren's Bowl Turning Rest Kit replaces the regular rest for making inside and contour cuts on faceplate turnings. The kit includes 'S' tool rest, upright guide and arm; for outboard turning. This kit will allow turning bowls up to 20" in diameter. A few of the many other features that set the VB36 apart from any other lathe include positive lock faceplates via a triple bayonet mount design, super wide stable base design and precision machining found throughout the machine. The optional Tailstock Assembly utilizes a positive lock "floating beam" design and floor support tool rest assembly and convenient swing away tailstock. Max between centres: 36" (914mm).
